I can't find the recipe that I originally made a couple of Christmas' ago, so I ended up making this from scratch. Most people aren't used to having Brussel sprouts shredded -- they're good.
I had a huge pile of onions starting to go bad, and, looking for a recipe requiring lots of onions, I found this "Zwiebelkuchen", available everywhere in South Germany and in the Southwest of France where wine is made. It is best eaten with new wine, that is still sweet, but also a bit sour.
Picked some of these up at the farmers market. Usually a bit bitter, so something like BBQ sauce or ketchup can both moisten and sweeten.
Similar to a recipe I was looking for, but I ended up making my own.
