Kalter Hund

Literally translated, this means "Cold Dog" in German. It's layers of fat, chocolate, and biscuits, with a few variations with nuts and such. There are another 28 recipes on the site I found this one on. Turns out Flickr has lots of pictures of Kalter Hund, too (picture by majorbonnet, CC Attr-NC-SA)

Chocolate Almond Bark

Rachael made this for Christmas. She adds cranberries and/or ginger, as well as drizzles it with white chocolate to make it look more christmas-y.

Catalan Beef Stew

From the super fabulous Catalan Cuisine cookbook that I picked up on a recent trip to Barcelona. Chocolate and cinnamon plus meat are unfamiliar combos for me, but I was quite pleased with how this turned out.

Estofat de Bou would be the Catalan name for this dish.
